Dear Podficcer,

Hello and welcome to my rambly 2021 ITPE letter. Right now I'm super into robots and having feelings about the Witcher coming back in December, but also...

General thoughts:

- I am a sucker for some good character development, especially filling in the gaps where canon is lacking.

- In terms of characters with superhuman abilities, I like to see them test the limits of those abilities, or use them in creative ways.

- Graphic depictions of sex or violence are both fine.

- SFW content and NSFW content are both fine.

- Specifically if the story includes trans characters: typically if the fic is less about gender dysphoria and more about gender euphoria, I am on board. I'm fine with trans characters having a bad time, but not having a bad time BECAUSE they're trans.
- If a fic has a robot/android/non-human character in it, I'm probably on board.
- Tentacles.
- FILK. I know this is a podfic exchange but if you happen to be interested in creating filk as part of a podfic or independent of a podfic in one of the fandoms I've requested I would love to listen!

I have some bookmarks on my AO3 (here) which will hopefully give you an indication of what I'm interested in. I'm also bad at bookmarking though, so that's by no means an exhaustive list.

Do Not Want

- pregnancy

- original child characters

- high school AUs

- omegaverse

- incest

- rape/noncon (rape roleplay is fine)

- underage characters involved in sex
- psychiatric instiution as a setting, or fic that is centered around characters receiving psychiatric treatment (talk therapy is fine, that's an exception).

Primary fandoms:

Transformers

- I'm not super picky about pairings here. Mostly I've been enjoying fic that's full of hijinks, crack treated seriously, missing scenes, and powerful emotional beats. Which is to say that Gen TF fic is excellent.

- I have a preference for the characters from MTMTE/LL. Not at all an exhaustive list but:

Drift/Ratchet, Anode/Lug, Brainstorm/Perceptor, Nautica/Velocity (also their friendship), Rung/anyone, any permutation of Rodimus/Ultra Magnus/Megatron.

- Transformers: Prime, any pairing. I really enjoy MegOP in TFP.

- Explicit content is great, but absolutely not a requirement.

- I'm not interested in humanformers, humans in sexual relationships with transformers (unless it's the Mikaela/Scorponok AU), or fic about the DJD.

The Magnus Archives

Georgie/Melanie, Basira/Daisy, Gertrude/Agnes, Helen/Melanie, Jude Perry/anyone, Annabelle Cane/anyone. Also any kind of gen involving any of these characters is great, too.

-I've been enjoying fic that explores these characters' relationships with other people, in addition to their own relationship with a fear entity. The onset, rejection, and/or embracing of their powers and how the people close to them respond to it. Lately I'm less into pure fluff, more into fic that has a darker, hurt/comfort (or hurt/no comfort) aspect, ambiguous ending, or major character death. Doesn't have to be bad times all the way down, but at least a little bit of tension, or something unsettling/spooky would be great!
-There are a lot of excellent fics in this fandom about trans characters, and I love that.
- statement fic is also great in this fandom!

Note: I haven't finished season 5 (I've only listened through the end of episode 180), so no spoilers please.

陈情令 | The Untamed (TV)
Preference for any of the femslash rare pairs, otherwise any pairing.
- Fic centered around any of the female characters.
- Modern AUs that incorporate music are cool.
- Canon divergent fic, or missing scenes from the series are also great.
- I'm not super interested in fic where Jiāng Chéng is the main character.

The Witcher - All Media Types

-Any F/F pairing, I'd love to see more Witcher femslash podfic.
-Geralt/Emhyr is a pairing I've been listening to a LOT lately.
-Yennefer/Jaskier/Geralt is also excellent.

Warehouse 13

Helena "H. G." Wells/Myka Bering.

-This fandom is so small but I love it so much. The "oops, we touched an artifact, hijinks ensued" fics are great, and love confessions after x amount of years spent pining. I'll take anything, tbh 😄

Venom (Marvel Movies)
Eddie/Venom, Eddie/Anne/Dan/Venom, or any other pairing.
- I'm not super familiar with the comics canon, but I'll take fic based in that universe as well.
- Found family feelings are great, nothing that's like.. pure fluff though.
- This is a good fandom for body horror and creative ways of having sex, and I'm down for either or both of those things as well.

Mass Effect Trilogy

Jack | Subject Zero/Miranda Lawson, also femslash in general.

-In terms of tropes, enemies to lovers or "it's the end of the world, might as well bang" is fun. Character studies, anything where these two get to process their trauma, or scream at each other in a cathartic way... EXCELLENT.

Secondary Fandoms:

Alien Quadrilogy [specifically Alien: Resurrection (1997)]
Ellen Ripley/Annalee Call
- Tiny tiny fandom, rare pairing, but I watched this movie for the first time this year and I would love to listen to some podfic.
- Anything from "they survived and they're allowed to go live their lives now" to dark fic to ambiguous but semi-hopeful endings.

Supergirl (2015)

Kara Danvers/Cat Grant, Kara Danvers/Lena Luthor

-I like the fic that feels like it could've been a missing scene or episode from the show, except, you know, like... more gay. I like fic that explorers the power dynamics between the two characters, whether sexually or not sexually.

Young Wizards - Diane Duane

Gen preferrably.

-Fics that feel like they could be missing scenes or stories within canon, anything about Tom and Carl's past, how they met, being on errantry together before the first book. Also any of the cats, I love all the cat wizards.

Note: I've only read the series through the end of Wizards Holiday, no spoilers for the last few books, please!
